The artist assigned to me is Maya Lin. This project emphasizes process, visual experimentation, clear intention, and authenticity.
For the last ten years, Maya Lin has run an interactive project called “What’s Missing,” which documents the planet’s ecological loss.
Maya Lin’s Ghost Forest brought 49 dead Atlantic snow pines to Madi-son Square Park in midtown Manhattan. The installation of the trees feelsorganic rather than designed. Visually embodying the tension created between living and dead trees.
